I've posted pics before of my hunting / trapping buddy "Bridger" He just turned a year old. He is 3/4 Patterdale and 1/4 Jadg and I love this little guy. Scared of nothing. Been having some problems with spot lighters on my trapline so went to some long chains and drags to get the cats into the brush. Bridger love to go "find them". Here are a few pics Also, Bridger has been ran with my hounds since he could run. Got a hell of a little nose on him. Goes out with me on all my damage / nuisance lion complaints. We actually watched him trail this lion across a hillside and he was about 50 yards out in front of the hounds. Best little buddy I have had in years.

Yep, small as heck. Did finally find a cat in the first 2, not sure what the 3rd is?
You'll need to go back to photobucket and resize them.

I sure miss my Black dogs. But this winter would have been hard on them.Be care full don't get him banged up to much as a pup. Some times they will back off later in life. Those dogs when they mature will be hard as nails and will go to hell and back to kill a critter.Have fun!!

Well, I 'm not technically advanced enough to know how to fix the pics. I tried, but now only made some of them disappear. Sorry. Thanks for the comments.

I had a Jag. and hunted with quite a few they are to dog aggressive and to much trailing nose for me.On the most part the area I hunt they are way to big.The one dog I had always after eating would try to fight my main Patt. dog.

braveheart: What do you mean by having too much trailing nose being a problem.
I need semi big. Sled dogs are no cake walk. But I also want a dog that knows that I'M THE DOG. Fighting between team mates is a big no-no.

I have seen the Jags. run a animal like a hound. In a 200 acre standing corn field the dog and the critter go down a hole after trailing were would you look and most of the time the corn is rattling so you can't hear so well. The patts have a good nose but only can seem to hot trail a short distance.Well suited how and where I hunt.Like every thing some people like it and some don't.The holes are small and a Jag for the most part are bigger than a patt.

If you can find one, (based on my little guy) about 17-20 pounds, a mix is great. If you need a little bigger dog, or maybe more important, maybe a little more hair, a Jadg may be good. Seems to be harder to find the longer / wire haired Patts. Like I said my little guy put a 130 pound tom lion in a tree by himself, but I know a lot of guys who do the same with Jadgs. Hope everyone has fun with the little guys.
