I've been on a sled once, and it seemed to me, that one would have to be in awful good shape, to be musher...
how tuff is it on the arms, back, legs?

I've been on a sled once, and it seemed to me, that one would have to be in awful good shape, to be musher... how tuff is it on the arms, back, legs? I don't know. It's pretty normal for me. I do know that running behind the sled is tough going. I don't do a ton of that unless I'm loaded down. You do need balance and coordination. It isn't just standing there holding on. Loading and unloading dogs, sleds, dog food and the like does keep you fit. I don't see any fat mushers. I've also noticed that the "big" guys don't sled much. Large men tucker out faster and the dogs do also. From those ice capade photos you posted, Steve, I think you'd be into mushing in a hurry. I also think that you'd be using a dog to haul your catch in a hurry once you tried it. Big dog with plastic sled means less work for you. And the dog will eat the beaver after! Thanks for the comments. I know that it is foreign to most people. I also know that most people would like to try it. The video gives you a little taste.

, What's the song. . . "But, I guess you'll do". Nope, that's interesting. I've enjoyed watching the videos, but never have seen a pic of the sled. How big is the thing? I guess it'd be similar to using skis?, you'd try to keep most of the weight balanced or on the back end of the sled. Seems like fairly level trails. Looks like fun too.

Can't get my sound to work... but looks like the 2nd left from front has some issues.... new dog or position? So are those 100 foot hills you are climbing judging by the gate differences.

50: It's a pup in its first year of sledding. It was also in a new spot.
Narrating the videos does distract the dogs. They wonder what I'm doing and who I'm talking to.
