i plan on trapping a very large lake for beaver this comeing week.even though i have never found any active houses i find there feeding areas all over the place.where water meets shore its all most flush.and very hard to determine where they come onto shore.they only thing i can think to do is to make mock slides and set them up.does anyone have any other sugestions?

Go where the most activity is and set it up heavy.
If your lookign for where the beaver are living look around steeper banks for possible bank dens, espeically if there is a lot of activity around them.

make a semi circle cut out around those feeding places in the bank 10-12 inches- lure and or bait. I use castor lure, and usually add a few partially peeled sticks-- its my go to set on the creeks around here.
