Well then, how many dollars a day (gross and/or net) would you have to make to make it profitable for you?
Like I said I am trying to figure out how to turn a profit in this market just like everyone else and I am not here to argue with anyone, just looking for some good advice. I would rather have 30 dollar coon this year too, but we don't.
This is my final post on this topic and I extend my apologies if I offended anyone.

We dont get offended here that easily so dont sweat it I hope you didnt take any offense either.
If you were going to ask me personally how much a day profit I would need for me personally to rely on trapping to be my income I can honestly tell you trapping will never get high enough again. But than again I have a different ideal on what a good living constitutes even short time.
My advice to you is if your other business ventures afford you the ability to trap without the prospect of making a profit have at it.
Its a free country so do what you please. If I had coons I'd go after them but that would be after my regular job. I'd stack them up to the best of my ability but than again its a good chance I wouldnt sell them for a couple years.
Only you can decide whats right for your situation.

Offended??? I agree with 49er.Also Wendt's last post pretty much sums it all up. (That dead horse get beat too much). The vast majority of the regulars on this site can have spirited debates and not stay all bent out of shape. We all know that we love to trap. Some guys make money from it and others question those guys accounting practices!
