i have been using heartguard to treat my dogs, but they still get heartworms every couple of years. my vet says it is a local area problem and at least heartguard pays for the treatment, but i am wondering if it hurts the dogs or if anyone else has this problem and found anything else that works better

Why wouldn't the vet tell you heart guard is better. I have you tried the injections like these guys are telling you?

It's all about money.A whole bottle that I get costs 20 dollars and you use very little like Bob said. That's why when I got into the black dogs I went to the best to learn how to doctor dogs. That saved me a small fortune in vet bills. They won't put a new room on their home from my money.

When we collected foxes 20 years ago in Manitoba and tested for heart worm over 85% had bad infections. All adults had it. When the wild population of canines have infections and there is a good amount of Culex and Anopholies mosq, then lots of problems can occur with those infections present.
