Besides the,"Cricket & Chipmunk", what other .22LR are there? I will be having the boys make the kills on the critters this fall, while trapping. They will be 1st & 2nd graders, so I'm looking for a light gun. The guns above weight only 2.5 lbs. I looked at a ,"Rossi" the other day. It was way too heavy. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Don't under estimate them. I would get them a good little 10/22 because they would outgrow a Cricket way to fast. We host a Buckmasters handicap hunt every year and we had a 5 year old with cancer shoot 2 deer with a 223.

I have a Henry mini-bolt as a trapline gun. I really like it. It tacks fairly well, has a good trigger, and it can take a pounding.
It weighs nothing and has a very short stock. I shoot it by holding the fore end across the crook of my arm.
Edge recommended the Henry to me and it was excellent advice.
BTW: anyone have any news of Edge?

how about one of the old Pappusses. Can't remember who made em, but they shot well. short stock and barrel. light weight because of the survival rifle design
