I read where a guy was dyeing his snares by steeping them in tea.
Any opinions?

Wanting mine to have a natural smell, so i boiled them in fir boughs. After leaving in as the water boiled down it darkened them as well. Also boiled the rolles of support wire in plain water a couple times to get the oil off, then put the wire in the fir bough water also. Always wondered what coffee would do for adding color to traps?

I've used coffee, tea and even soaked them in the tanic acid run off from a rotting sawdust pile...what ever is available at the moment.

throw them in a creek, most of the creeks I've seen up north are as dark as tea from running through coniferous forest
