I mixed it 50/50 because it has been pretty cold but it seems like after I made my sets with it the action stopped. I layered it with my dirt and then gave the bed a final squirt. Should I have not sprayed the the top layer of dirt? Thanks for any help

I like to hear this too. Was going to mix a batch of 50/50 with fox urine.

it depends which kind of set you're making. If I want a fresh looking "Wet" look, i spray a top dress of liquid antifreeze and that's it.
Only problem I've found sometime is with flat or scent post when we want a natural dry looking set. You can cover with dry stuff for camouflaged your pattern or spray a lot all around the trap set for a big wet spot.
That's why waxed dirt really shine!!!

stef nailed it. I too find avoidance with color changes- which is what you are getting with the wet look- darker pattern.
Both solutions stef mentioned work- overspray by quite a bit or blend in with a ilittle duff/dirt.
I find that a combination of both methods worked best for me. After the trap is bedded- I spray around the set- following natural lines, clumps, etc. Feather it at the edges. Then, I take a small handful of duff or dirt and haphazardly scatter it over the "big" pattern. Not a lot- but enough to break the pattern.
Jim- when I tried the rv antifrezze, I added urine to it. This past season with the pure glycol mixed with water, I did not. I did however add glycol to the urine for the first time- nice- no more frozen, clogging spray bottles.
My opinion- if not waxed dirt- gylcol.
