Yeah, I noticed that comment on a pre "64 in 22-250(?) but I don't have time to question everything that don't jive. A rebarrel is just the most obvious answer.
Actually, the Swift is a better coyote chambering and the 225 is pretty lame; mainly because of the rim. I (years ago) saw at least one (pre factory Remington) 22-250 that could easily run with a Swift. Of course, my 22-250Ackley is a lot more gun than my Swift, or any Swift, for that matter.
Good hunting. LB

Harnady is making a stock load with 20 grain V max also and I am pretty sure a 25 gr hollow point for the 17 remington. I love my 17 hence my original name 17Kiss which was the 17s kiss of death. Many ,many kills with minimal damage. I came to a point where I had to sell off my reloading equipment due to time and space constraints a few years back and have been shooting stock loads since with no great complaints. Stock loads have come along way. There are still a few definite pros to reloading your own , but i can live with it. On that note , I have some 22 and 23 gr 17 bullets , if anyone would like them I can mail them to them. They are double hollow points believe either from calhoon or berger. cant remember where I ordered them from. I have 200 of them still. Hate to see them go to waste. Bought them for fox hunting. Only big disappointment I have had about my 17 is that I never got to try the 34 grain hollow points , which I think would really shine for coyotes.

Start reloading, I cant think of any factory load that is fur friendly. Your 22-250 will work ,with the right load.
