i can get it about $8 in 55 gallon drums, but doubt time a guy jugged it and hauled it around it would be worth trying to make a buck on peddling. I was pm`d that rubbing alcohol works better than acetone or mek. they are all solvents or similar that curdle the lungs, i.e. he suffocats as a way of death. they aren`t poison, rather contact astringents that "burn up" soft tissues like lungs.

actually, skunks are easy to release if you want to spend the time. well, easy to release depending o nthe trap. A big trap would be real tough once you got to the trap and have ot release the levers.
but on small traps, traps that you can easily release the springs, isn't too bad. I've released 7-8 over the years that get caught in gopher traps- talk softly, get down to teir level, and with patiance, you can get right up to them (always makes it tenser with lori in the truck telling me to be careful LOL). I take a trap stake, and put it into the ground right by the skunk- then I lift the front end, and hold the skunk back. Last one took about 5 secs- but most are in that 5 minute on up catagory.

MEK is Methol Ethol Ketone
Used in most car painting as well as industrial enamels and epoxy painting. It is a fast drying thinner like Acetone, but quite a bit "hotter" than laquer thinner or Acetone. You must be careful when you use it as it can be absorbed right through the skin into the bloodstream. When you want to charge a particular paint for spraying, these 3 thinners are all used to some extent. For instance, to put a positive charge for eletrostatic paint spraying, we add as much as a half gallon of Laquer thinner, and you would only need an once or two of MEK to do the same job.

Drug stores are selling rubbing alcohol around 70%
I believe that the 90%+ rubbing alcohol found in specialized chemical business is better no?

For the leaky seals, see if you can find any in Ethylene propylene or butyl, as they are compatible.

I have always put 10cc of MEK in a syringe to put a skunk down, most times they are down before I am done with the injection but at 3 shot to the ounce it is justifiable(sp) costwise. I buy MEK by the quart for 5-7 dollars once at Home depot Walked in on a sale 2 fot $7, should of bought more than I did.

MEK is also what is used as a cleaner on pvc plumbing pipe before you solvent weld them together. This is available in small containers if you want to try it at the plumbing supply isle in Fleet Farm or farm and Fleet, something like a 6 oz container. HP
