I don't have a clue on who makes the best ones- but I do sell the bolt on kind- nothing fancy, just a standard trigger

A little off topic perhaps, but one time I had to have a trap working that had the trigger busted.
I didn't have any 220 triggers, so I used a 110 trigger.
I was a little warry of it, but it set great and had a beautiful crisp release.

Get the ones that come with the nut/bolt, and a rivet. They clamp down over the jaw put the wire in and then rivet or use the bolt. I use the bolt then peen the end of the bolt so they can't come out. Same ones braveheart uses too I think.

I found it easier on 330s to double nut them, rather than preening them.

If the only problem is the wire is broken off, I drill a small hole in the hinge part, put in a bolt and attach some stiff wire. But I'm a cheapskate anyway.

The ones from Cavens are very good...come with the rivet and the bolt.
If they work on other traps or with other dogs, the Belisle's are pretty much indestructable. Probably can call them up and order directly from them. I have yet to have any problem with their triggers.

Carl Jones / CDR Traps makes and sells replacements for both 220s and 330s that are head and shoulders above everything else on the market. Not sure what the trigger wires are made of, but you can bend them back and forth dozens of times and not break them. They have 3 holes instead of one, and come with nylon lock nuts.

On 330's, ive gone to just welding on some that stiff hard galvanized no 9 wire on the trigger braket after the factory ones break, lasts longer than any trigger wire if ya weld it right.

actually, a #11 wire wrapped tight around the jaw, looped down, makes a good trigger in a pinch...

Rich beat me to it. If a wire breaks I just weld on a piece of #9 anealed. My little Lincoln 110 wire feed does a good job when set right.

Brazing rod works pretty good as a replacement for wire triggers and you can use a torch to braze it to the old trigger Instead of using a welder.

I don't understand why someone would not just replace the trigger with another trigger.
Maybe it is because I live 10 miles from Cumberlands.
Supplies are easy for me.

I have used bellisle triggers on several different makes of traps. They work fine. Bellisle dogs I'm not so sure about.
