that dp one sounded exactly like a little bird to me. I have a system that works great, it`s called hard work, long hours , top of the line smells and sets, good flagging , and knowing cat biology. I`ll stick with that beings its good for 30-40 cats a month along with truckloads of coyotes and etc. I want no more parts of any squeekers. I`ll try anything and give it a good shot, but I`ll not risk thousands of dollars and my enjoyment again. did it once, that`s enough for me. I don`t believe those models were the problem, heck, they even sounded good to me . and we tried them muffled, at the set , away from the set, and every other variable. it`s just too easy to set on a track and be so close a guy can even snare or blind set him, let alone use lure and such on he poor dumb animal. I could have drilled in dirtholes on tat road edge and caught those cats all the first night or two. just would have needed drags or slide wires. I can tell ytou evereyone calls in ks it seems. I wouldn`t think a cat gets wise to a call myself, as they aren`t too bright, so I don`t think that is the problem either. the only conclusion I can come to is they don`t work very well at all, and I`m not willing to try the 3rd brand as I can`t see how it would be any different.

I do not believe a bobcat can get call shy. They are not that bright. Heck, even coyotes can be called back to the same stand as long as he was not overly spooked or shot at.
I simply have called literally dozens of cats over the years, to the caller , only to have them leave without getting a shot, and then come back to that spot a few hours later and call them back using the same rabbit or bird sounds from the same stand and kill them. Clients are always amazed at this, but it is just a cat thing.
The call units should have worked, because I know they work very good here. Yancy uses them too and they work for him. I have thought about this subject many times, and I just do not know why.

Funny, your canning the sounds and I'm canning the smells and flagging.
I've been observing the walktrough responses and I'm wondering what I'm doing with lure at a set like that.
I wouldn't put lure right next to a snare, so why would I next to a walkthrough set?
Down the trail aways is where the attraction ought to be I'm thinking. Sounds are good for that.

I tried the Teaser last year and was not impressed. They soaked up water like a sponge and the nine volt was dead in the a.m. I didn't try the double A set up. I had one cat work a set without a connection. Traded them for some snares. Caught several cats with the snares. I dig the concept but the not the hassle.

Only had 2 seasons with the flashersso far and unlike the squeakers , I caught cats where i had flashers and on a very consistant basis. BUT DO NOT use in Mississippi cause people start thinking that the lights and feathers mean VOODOO. Felt real impressed by the Forest manager himself showing up to look into the voodoo. Laughed the whole afternoon with the federal warden at them yahoos.

lol. Thats funny.
I tried the flashers too. Made my own with some leds, resistors and such. Worked pretty good for me, I had to put them in a zip;ock bag and used that as my flag also. It never stops raining here in my cat country of the Northwest ;D I had a few that walked right by the set with gland lure and knock down the flasher bag and leave, maybe I had bad lure or they were over committed to the flasher? Oh, I guess I should say that cages are my only weapon here for trapping, that might make a difference also.
