Nice cats Joel, but I hope you see a whole lot more of those dark clouds over the next several months unleashing a deluge of snow, hail, sleet and rain. That range looks like it could use it.

They sure are some pretty cats. That oasis of green stands out in the sheep picture, I'm assuming irrigation but am probably wrong.

Couple of questions:
Eagle bait coyotes? Does that mean that you chuck the 'yotes because they have no value?
Lazik surgery farsightedness? You can't see your cam because the surgery messed up your eyes?
Dog? Is it as friendly as it looks?
How does the wild horse trap work. It seems like a seive!
What type of trees are those?
Those cats seem on the large side.
Thanks!

Yeah it's dry, Bill the green is a pivot sprinkler, the fence is the Nevada/California border, I've got some squeakers and I like to think I'm calling cats this way. lol!!
Musher I didn't get those coyotes, I just stumbled on a predator callers dumping grounds.
When you get your eyes fixed you just change from nearsightedness to farsightedness, I can see like an eagle now but I have to have reading glasses to see up close, so I just point the camera and hope.
Those white dogs are the Great Pyrenees variety, they live right in with the sheep and fight the coyotes off. The rancher likes having me around because I set a few traps for coyotes in the neighborhood as well. He has a tough row to hoe there because they just feed in from California.
The wild horse trap has gates to close.
Trees are Junipers.
Those cats are about as big as they get, most have been stretching 44-46" with a wide stretch.

Nice pics Joel. Looks like about the same elev. I ran in to start the season off. Different knd of trapping than I am familiar with. BIG country, takes awhile for them to come back around. We got a few, pretty heavy fur on them. I think I can see your four wheeler in the background of this picture. They drove a bunch of sheep through some of my country. Made it nearly impossible to find any sign to set on.

The skunk really pushes the scent blend in the sierra mist when it gets real cold. For milder temps upper 20s and mid 30s the regular formula is plenty strong.Glad it is doing well for you.

I think if we trapped or fished together- politics would be the last thing on our minds...
