From an earmark that was stuck on the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, the $700 billion bailout, which also provided assistance to agricultural producers, which includes harvesters of fur, ginseng, fungi, herbals, etc.
$3.2 Billion available and producers get to use their best fiscal year of the past 5 as the figure which they may apply for. Additional grants are available for equipment upgrades, ie; new truck, from a US auto manufacturer to assist that industry.

WooHoo. Now I wish I hadn't 'er "overestimated" my expenses on my taxes. Probably will just use the bottom line on Schedule C. Put me down for $497 and a 4 X 4 Clubcab Chevy Colorado. Any color will do. Just trying to do my patriotic part.

is this a serious post? if a low interest loan, no need for that. I`m into cash grants like the ag industry gets, i.e. free money.

You mean you haven't been getting those Bob ? The extra $170,000 a year helps quite a bit. "Mr. Mailman did the government check come today ?" No, it's not a serious post since no bailout or grants are actually available to trappers. But it is serious in that trappers are seemingly one of the few business entities who qualify for nothing and exist solely by the whims of the marketplace. And continue to exist when the marketplace has whimmed us.
