LOL- no, not what do you set to CATCH pets- but what are your favorite sets? In other words- if you had to make ONE set to catch your quarry- barring special circumstances- what set would that be?
1) Coyote- walkthrough flat set 2) Coon- land- dirthole water- pocket/pipe set 3) Mink- blind resting set 4) Rats- resting set/feedbed 5) Beaver- castor mound OR blind set
All with footholds.
I own a ton of conibears- but set them rarely.

Fox = variations of stepdown Coyote = Flat and scent post Rat = Float (spring) with foothold Beaver = lure set with #330 Mink = Blind with both Coni on land or Foothold in water. Otter = Old beaver house and Channel with #220 Coon = I like hole sets with foothold for coon but not allowed here anymore Stef

Fox= Kind of a comination mouse hole/dirt clod walk-through. Lure in hole and under clod.
Coon=Rock cubby or dirthole

For coyotes and foxes the flat set is fast to put in and is as or more effective than the dirt hole. Bobcats will allways fall for a post set inside an open topped cubby. As with the flat set it's quick and effective.
