i can get 12 of them for 70 bucks thats an ok price my other traps were stolen(#2 bridgers with mods) will these work if i base plate and laminate the jaws and 4 coil them they arnt offset will that bo ok what do u think

By the time you get all that done you would be better off buying some stock bridger2s and running them. they will hold fox great , but I had 8 coyote pullouts with them this year. sold all mine and bought more 2s.

did you ever figure WHY the pullouts? was the base flexing enough to pop the jaws? would a bubble of weld have fixed that? weak springs?
asking because I was thinking of standardizing my farmland fox/coon/ traps. of course, I have to also contend with dogs/cats and the occasional coyote there. I was thinking (hoping) the 1.65's would fill this bill.
I have some fully modified # 2 Bridgers I use in more conventional coyote locations, but coyotes can show up anywhere.

The levers do not come up high enough to "lock" the jaws properly.

they suck for pad catches on coon too. work ok on high fron foot or hind foot on coon. ready to trade all of mine off. mike
