I saw an ad for the counter sniper brand of scope all titainum and have the best warranty of any scope made. The zoom ranges are quite good 2-16x, 3-25x.10-40x All lenses multi coated and covered with a very hard scratch resistant coating.
The draw back is the pricing from 3695.00- to a whopping 7295.00 alot of cash for a scope! You can get them with up to 240 MOA of adjustment.

A lot of wannabes will pay to own the "world's most expensive scope". Being "counter sniper" is an appealing buzz word. I'll wait, thank you.

Not saying I want or need just a fact on the cost and I'm sure high quailty. I too use the bushnell elite 3200 and also Burris FF II great scopes for the money. Both lifetime warranty.

do you think cheap scopes have plastic lenses.

some rather high end video cameras do? But, I have not seen a scope with a "plastic" lense?
What concerns me more is your handle. When did Weatherby roll out the 223, when I wasn't looking? LB

Weatherby stamps their name on Japanese made Howa's and they're available in .223. Makes my Kahles look like a bargain, which they are anyways. Made by Pentax and they are good for the money, bought a couple NIB 3-9x40's with the Ballistiplex reticle for $150 each shipped off Ebay. I won't say much for the original Burris Fullfield's or Burris factory service. I owned 3 and each had problems and each made a couple trips each back to Burris only to have the problems re-occur. Got rid of them.

wait a minute, Amigo. Nobody cares about whether or not Howa chambers for the 223Remington. I have only heard of a 224Wby, as a proprietary cartridge. lol your lol, etc.
I have to agree with Kahles, a bargain in high end optics.

lb, what I'm telling you is that the Weatherby Vangaurd, the lower priced Walmart Weatherby offering is made by Howa and it's available in .223 Remington. No new proprietary cartridge. But you're welcome to build the .224 Weatherby and pay $1.50 each for brass with low case life for less than 22-250 performance.

Amigo, I'm telling you that's very old news, I know about Howa, I have been in a Walmart and I have handled a Vanguard. (lol) So what?
What does it have to do with a 223weatherby? (lol) There is no such animal. Completely misses the point that Weatherby brass is way too expensive. I don't own one, regardless of case life, and am not promoting that cartridge. (lol) But I appreciate you allowing me to build one, should I have the urge! Ain't America great? (lol)
Your posts read like they come from a spoiled brat, so although you think you are tweaking me, I suspect more than a few will question your motivation and request (ipso facto) that you remove all reference to your nonexistant "voice of reason"? (lol)
My observation is correct, basically; there is no cartridge called a 223weatherby. You know it, won't admit it, but that's about all you know that is useful, here. (lol)

That's what I'm telling you lb And with that I'll point out your illiteracy and total lack of reading comprehension. Nothing new there though Here's an example, I had pointed that out in the post you're whining about. Go back and read what I posted and then come back and apologize for your bullshit. Or shall I break it down sentence by sentence and demonstrate your folly. Can't let you slide on this lb, you're mistaken and you need to recognize that. Man up, don't claim victimhood again and disappear over an imaginary slight.

It's obvious there's something wrong with you, Sir? Off your meds or whatever, but I sincerely hope you recover.
By all means, don't let me slide, go ahead and break it down, if you want, but I have said all that needs saying. I don't think I need to respond further? You might read it again, if it could help YOUR comprehension. I stipulate and plead guilty to illiteracy and total lack of reading comprehension, so whatever "proof" you are in posession of, is appreciated, but unnecessary.

Leonard, you've fabricated some slight, not your first time either BTW, when I merely pointed out that the Weatherby Vanguard, a Howa product, is available in .223. Thus '223 Weatherby', not another propietary cartridge, .223 Remington, that's your imagination creating the confusion not mine. You feel stupid yet ? Because you should. As expected, you lack the integrity to admit when you're wrong. You've done this before. Get checked for Alzheimers or senile dementia. Because the only conflict here is what you imagined.

Never fear guys here's one I am working with. 6x47 Lapua Ackley imp. Got my brass and Wilson Dies. The brass on the right is the standard 6x47 middle fire formed. 700 converted to single shot, Hart rings, and a 29.5" Bartlien barrel. Should be a real hog smoker this summer.

Marky what brand of stock on that rifle? Also what benefits do you see with the 6x47 over a standard or AI .243? When you add in cost of dies, brass etc? Thanks

Yes, I am interested in hearing about the advantages of MM's little project. Below is my new 243AI, no dies, no brass as yet.
