What does everyone use?
I use,"SENTINEL"---Heart Worm. And ,"PROMERIS" Flea & Tick control. This product is new to the USA. It has been being used in Europe for sometime. USDA finailly let it in the US. So I'm told by my Vet. Was using ,"Frontline". Promeris, has a stink to it, the stink lasts about a day. Not a bad stink just noticable.

I always keep a bottle of combiotics on hand. That stuff just mazes me for working dogs and cuts and infections. Bob, correct me if wrong, but I gave it into the muscle, about 1/2 cc per dos beagle sized. Dog gets cut up, a shot or 2 1 a day did the trick.
I also love that bluecoat stuff. I think its originally for horses, but its great on skin rashes, hot spots, etc.
one product I can't say enough on is a dip called Mitaban- I had a bitch that didn't show and passed red mange to all her pups- double mated pups! it was horrible, and Mitaban saved the day.

We seem to staple up a bear dog every year. Stapler works great. They have a bunch of meds on hand. Field surgery.

You got to have Dex.and Banamine in a mix to keep your dogs up and moving after the hunt.Granulex and crazy glue for most coon bites and staples if they grab a beaver in the ground.Granulex will make hair and flesh grow on concret I think.Works for fang marks in the mouth too.

Hey, I like this forum! If you have ear problems, the best stuff I've ever used is a fairly new product called, ZYMOX OTIC Enzymatic Solution, Cleared up a bad chronic ear infection in one of my Border Collies that nothing else could touch. If you get the formula with the Hydrocortisone, it also works good on hotspots. Expensive but a little goes a long way.

I always carry "snake bite" pills in the summer when I run. Sorry for the generic title but i cant remember the actual name and thats what I call them when i pick them up. We are overrun with copperheads and more than our share of timer rattlers. Snake bites are pretty normal occurances around here.

Glad we don't have snakes like that here - I know of a lot of Fd Ch and other good hounds that were kilt by snakes.,

Yea, we try to stay away from the more "snakey" looking areas during the summer. Its not worth losing a good hound over. I have a female that was bitten by a timber rattler and it took her months to get over it. Still has a bald spot on her chest and it wasnt even a bad bite. The same snake bit her and another dog at the same time when thet ran a rabbit over top of it. It got the other dog first. He got the worst of it. Never was really right after that.

Crazy glue is always on hand. Plus it's great for cracks on your hands also.

bad thing on crazy glue- is that it drys the cut and keeps it from sealing. For very small cracks, it works well, but on actual cuts- it prolongs the healing time to like forever-
