Hunting dogs = Good for finishing off the left-over sandwitches before getting home, so there will be more made for the next trip.

I thought about that- but wanted to stick with dogs used somehow in harvesting fur. But feel free to post about bird dogs if you wish.

I use mine for everything but transportation and rabbits. I never let them run rabbits. They get broke off of bunnies just like deer. Too many around to let the mutts chase them.

One transportation vote. Wonder who does that!
With the mess of dogs some of you fellows have, you're missing out if you have snow. Hook 'em up!

Yeh pointers are used in fur harvest. Right. But mine are used in checking live traps, and they stop when someone is home. Don't forget about the 93 ruffed grouse shot over her one year...where do you think all that trapping bait comes from? That Britteny could tell the difference by smell in the hand with a 22cal and 12ga and would adjust her hunting mood. 22=squirrels,,,,12= ruffey's,,,,,blaze orange= hunting time

My dogs are mostly truck, boat, and watch dogs, except for the old lady Border, she'll catch and dispatch coons, woodchucks, etc. and is a very good dead deer finder. Only problem is once she finds it, she thinks it's her's and wants to eat it right there, lol. Too bad she's about wore out, as the others aren't going to make the cut.

My wife uses them hooked up in a line for skijorging. She can really get going out on the lake behind 3-4 dogs. We have also used them hooked to a bike. I use it to road them and keep them in shape. They love it.
