Share your links for the best deals on equipment ;D I run through a lot of bullets for handloading in multiple calibers. I started buying factory seconds from Nosler to cut costs and I honestly can't see the difference in accuracy between them and firsts. Big difference is they're 1/2 price. www.shootersproshop.com/2ndsheader.htmlBut I'm pissed that I didn't buy a whole lot more surplus powder when it was cheap years ago. I remember buying surplus 4895 and 4831 for $48 for an 8lb. jug.

I used to buy Hodgdon's 4831 in the paper can for $1.95 per pound, back in the sixties. I have a couple empty "cans" on the shelf, just for nostalgia, and the price tag is still there, otherwise I wouldn't remember what I paid?
When Sierra Bullets was located near me, I used to drop in once in a while. They had some real good deals on "seconds" but most of that was spilled trays and possible mixed bullets, easy enough to pick out hollow points from spitzers. The actual seconds, were not even "blems" but might have been from mixed lot numbers, or end of a run, odd amounts, stuff like that? I do not think they sold deformed or under or over weight bullets? No dents? I think it was just a way to sell at cost rather than spend the time sorting. That's where the economical shooter (with a Mini 14) comes into the picture. lol
Good hunting. LB
