How good is this asat camo? The photos are impressive.
A buddy tells me that once you that once you are about 15 feet away you "disappear."

I personally feel that all camo is over rated. Dressing in dull greens, browns, grays, and DONT MOVE and are QUIET on calling stands, is far more important than camo. IMHO

You know what. Reminds me of a big hunt contest I was in, many years ago. No restrictions on hunting separately, so we split up. I was wearing what was new, (at the time), the military day desert camo. I stood practically on the shoulder of the road while my partner drove right past me three times! Actually, I was on an elevated berm about 8-10 feet off the shoulder, in plain sight. But, Boy! did that camo blend in well. This was Mojave desert around Amboy. I should not have let him go by, but I thought he was fooling around the second time, and had to yell at the top of my lungs the third time or he might never have found me!
Hey, it builds confidence, I wear camo but I draw the line at gloves and face mask. LB

"... The photos are impressive."
photos weren't moving either...
I can stuff hunters into good 3-d leafy wear camo for turkey season... full face hood... mittens...look just like a pile of leaves when they set down. blend in to about invisible.
Good stuff.
They start twitching around, they'll get busted just as quick as not.
if camo's a "five" on relative impotance... movement's a "ten"...IMHO

I really like ASAT and predator camo. Some of the other camo patterns will look like a big blob when viewed a few feet away, but not these two. I think most camo patterns are made for the hunter when viewed at arms length. I think it is real funny watching these so call expert/professional hunters on T.V. wearing the latest camo while walking or hunting in an area of mostly light colored vegation,ie the plains, desert or grassy areas, and they really stand out. But put a guy in that picture while wearing ASAT and he will blend in very good.

what steve said, all camo only as good as the person wearing can sit still. Ive found plain old duck brown carhart to be about as good of camo there is in the fall and early winter when most surrounding grass/brush is some shade of brown.
