I set all my footholds up the same way, a baseplate with swivel 3 links a swivel 3links a swivel and 1 link that I use for attatching stake either rebar or cable. My question is what are your thoughts on an end swivel is it neccesary because generally it gets buried almost in the ground especially when I use a cable stake. Also you guys that swivel your bodygrips how do you set them up? I especiallywant to know if using cable how do you attatch it to your swivel? Thanks Trapn1

I would say what your using is more than enough, have you had any problems with what your using? I know I have some problems with regular swivels clogging with grass/alpalha.....B.....

With conibears I salvage 3/32" & 1/8" used snare ends.
I use the snare swivel, swivel washer and end stop for the snare as the swivel/anchor point. The cable is attached to the conibear by passing through a double ferrule through the eye of the spring and then back into the double ferrule where it is crimped.
I normally slip my trap tag on this cable before attaching to the trap.

I don't have any problems with my setup but was wondering if that last swivel was a waste. Trapn1

I use a swivel at the base,4 links,a swivel,4 links,a swivel and 4 links with the cable stake attached, and bury the last 4 links when driving the stake.and then all 3 swivels are above ground.

Three swivel points are what I run on mine and several times I was very glad for the 3rd one. I don't think that you are wasting the 3rd one.It is hard to guess what lies beneath the ground . Many times I have had two swivels fouled/trash wadded up on them. I to agree that If it has not given you any trouble ,leave it.
