I set my traps last Saturday and nothing yet. How long should I leave them in that spot before trying another. I only have 2 traps. Just getting started. Thanks

If you've got unlimited ground and are going after canines 7 days tops with no action......usually if your on location you will have action the 1st or 2nd night.

not this time of year, at least nothere. Seems like they are really random this year. We set up one location, tracksa all over- not ONE fresh track in 2 weeks. Been seeing this all over this winter. Just too much easy living- they find what they want- carcass dump, dead deer, etc- and stay till they have to move. One tihng that is hard for me to remember- a lot less coyotes now than in the fall.

Thats true.......alot less yotes around now........
I'm in Big COYOTE MEDICINE country and sometimes forget not all of the country is like it.....
Around here when setting of new ground, even this time of year (that hasn't been allready trapped) you can still pick up 5-6 yotes in 2-3 nights if on location at 1 farm, did it just last week on ground I hadn't set up yet. Thing is finding and area that hasn't allready been cheery picked...lol.....
You can really "time manage" your line right now here where I'm at...............just find 3 or 4 area's that hasn't been molested and its easy pickins for a good load of yotties.

I am setting for coyotes. I know there are yotes there. No trapping pressure at all. Lots of yotes around here. The land that I am trapping is 200 acres. With bean fields, pasture and timber with a few ponds.
