Over the years I've used a LOT of coon lures.Probably 75% was worthless. The other 25% had limited value.
I've been hearing how good Stef's Pro-coon lure is.For those of you that have used it......how good is it ??
Stef.......feel free to join in on this one too.

I like pro-coon but really prefer baits at the sets....for me they are much more appealing than the lures and at the cost of a gal of RK's bait you can't go wrong....lots of smell and appeal, tried his for the first time this year , boy shoud have know about it years ago.

I have been using low cost baits and making my own lures for coon for several years. I wanted to use the lures and stay away from baits due to mess, extra work and weight.
I will be making some baits for next year. I tried a small amount of homemade bait the last part of my coon trapping season and the bait outperformed my homemade lure remedy consistently. I plan to increase my foothold and coon specific traps next year and want those sets to have higher efficiency rates than I have been getting in the past. One never knows until one experiments. That is not to say that the commercially made coon lures don't work, my concoction did not work as well as the bait.

Had given up on coon lures until I tried procoon this year.
Procoon and sweet baits will get coon into buckets, which is a tough task in my area. Nothing else works consistently.
Good news is, procoon reduces feral cat catches, and I like to leave the traps open for coon.
I am now a procoon fan. Won't make up for bad sets in poor locations, but worth trying in your area for sure.
ps. You can still smell procoon after puicking up the buckets weeks later - Long-lasting for sure!

All I can say is that ProCoon works well 365 days of the year. Can be use straight Can be mixed with fish oil (liquid bait/lure) Or Mixed with solid like fish or others as a bait solution.

I don't know if any of you have ever used any fox hollow lures but a friend of mine told me to try some GHII last season fox trapping and I did.I also kept notes because now I only use 3 different lures but man that GHII was pure poison on coons.I even stopped using it because of it our coons are worth very little

Steve's lovely wife sold me a bottle of Pro-Coon at the PA convention 3 years ago. All I can say it that I use it every year now!!! I tried a lot of coon lures too and kept records of the results. Pro-Coon ranks right at the top of the list. I use it all season long. It has a good draw to it. It lasts extra long. And I know that when I approach a set and I can smell it from 10 feet away on those misty damp mornings that , I can only imagine how far a coon can smell it!! I would recommend using it!!!!

I use ProCon and fishoil mix (thanks Steve) and have for the last 3 years its the best squirt and go lure I have ever used. I also use fishoil/shellfish oil as a change up. Trapn1
