I dye and wax my traps because I love the smell of logwood and I like the looks of velvet steel!

Black Crystals & Black Wax. Not really sure if the dye is even necassary w/ the black wax. On new traps that have little or no rust, the dye only gets you a "gun blue" sort of color. A dip in the wax gets them good & dark.

Dye and wax all canine traps. Figure you have to boil them to clean them , might as well throw some dye in too.Speeddip all others.

I'm going to wax the new ones I've got but I'll wait for the speed dip to get chewed off the others.

Just stick my traps in the dishwasher and then wax.
Fast and easy for me.

Dye and wax for me too. I keep up with the process during the season as I pull beat up traps, I use a propane torch to heat my shed, so I might as well get some work done too. (All this dye and wax talk, kinda sounds like lady's at the local beauty salon!) steve

He's my breakdown... - Dye and wax all K9 traps
- Paint and wax 110 coinbears
- Paint 220 and 330 conibears
- paint cage traps
- I don't dye my hair
- I do paint the barn
