My dad's steer barn is infested with thousands of starlings. Is there any way we can get rid of them ourselves?

I did a little research and am looking into a V trap. Are they effective?

Yes they are quite effective. With good positioning and pre baiting you will have help on the way.

Thank you Bob. Now that the ice has melted there are not as many there. They must be able to find food easier. The problem will not go away without the trap I'm sure...

get ahold of your local USDA person and he will help you out, if you was in Ohio, I would give you a name of the USDA guy that loves starlings ;D
or get yourself a pellet gun and start making bait for trapping
