Anyone want to share ideas/thoughts about their favorite brand of pigeon trap? I`ll be buying one or two soon, and have found many to choose from. What to do.....?

I use homemade box type traps. I real quick method where you can reach them is to hand catch at night. You can walk up to them and stuff them in a bag with a red head lamp.

Get a pigeon trap with the doors that swing open, Wire the doors open and pre-bait for a few days. Don't go crazy pre-baiting. About a quarter cup and spread a little around. you want to get them bucking for rank for the feed. Day 4 or 5 undo the wire doors. I built mine so they are 3 feet high with perches in them. Once the aggressive birds feed they will go sit on the perch and then you'll get the younger ones.
I have had traps with as many as 30-40 birds in them. If your not doing this for a specific complaint like shooting or training your dog, find an area where there are tons. From there you'll always find someone feeding them, get next door to the feeding person and you catch tons in short order.
