Got a porcupine eating a porch and tearing up dogs. Can't use a leghold or a gun so it has to be a live trap and I have no experience caging porkies. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have had very good results useing a cage trap and salt + salt water in a tin in the back of the cage trap. I am 2 for 2 on this method so far.

My neighbor was having a problem with one. Used cut up apples covered with honey, set trap at the base of the tree that he had been work on. Got him the first night the trap was set.
Luck..maybe?

While we are talking Porkys... why are there no Porkys down south? Is it too hot for them? They sure have plenty of pines and hardwood down there. Also plenty of dogs to aggrevate! Maybe it`s just that they have not naturally moved there yet?
