Okay, given that I am going to purchase a few, which do you find to be the most reliable, quickest killing, better built, etc.... ? I'd appreciate any general input you might have. I'm not really concerned about price, but if I'm going to spend considerably more for say a RBG or Sauvageau, I'd like to know why. There are some smaller sizes, the 660, stainless steel, etc... out there. Do you find a use for them, over the standard sizes? Any input will be appreciated.

I use the duke ... simply because of two reasons: price, and I know if I have a problem with one , I can send it back to Bill or TA Duke and they will make it right.

The bodygripper i am using is not on the list, so i will put an pic here from the trap and a stone marten!!! Its a quick kill trapp, triggered when the annimal picked up the bait, in this case an egg. Good trap, you will only trap target annimals (if you use it right) and we have bigger ones for foxes!!!

Theun,
Does the weight of the egg hold the trigger on that trap? When the egg is removed, it fires?

No not the weight. The egg is connected to the trigger, you can step on the trigger and in theorie nothing should happend . When an annimal pickup the bait (in this case an egg), the trap goes off (will look for some technical pics off these kinds of traps) Put an pic of a trapped fox, with these kind of traps (normally we use a bigger one with 2 springs)

Ahhh, I get it, the egg is wired to the trigger, and the egg is a visual, that attracts the animal to try to take it. Pretty neat.

Ive used almost all brands mentioned and the Belisles are built much better than most and kill quicker as well. Sav's are awsome as well.
