Every one of those catch photos must have looked sweet with the fresh snow cover! I understand or think I understand why you swept the snow off so that the hole gave guiding BUT I think you sacrifice some % of propective catches because of doing it.

I knowI know- don't think we weren't thinking that very thing...but you can see its such "even" terrain, that sets that were covered, had zero eye appeal that we just "had to" make them at least a little visible- we did the minimum to open up, often times just standing back and poked the end of rake handle into hole
the sets that are snow covered, with just the hole or partial hole under the backing, sure look sweet indeed.

LOL! Well remember what your walk-thru looked like with the same amount of snow? The coyotes found them IF you used them. Once there's snow cover and the ballgame changes, you can either worry about too much eye appeal(too much of a novel visual) or none at all and allow the scents go their work.H
Here's a Never idioism "God bless the snow on my set and forgive me the sin of my trespass!". LOL
