Do you see many coon out in January when you are up by lake of the woods.
I trap from Thanksgiving to April. That's just the way it is. No way no how can I catch enough coon, nor anybody else in MN for that matter, in those months to equal what I did for rats in February this past season.
I could maybe, just maybe do it trapping beaver but that is one hell of a lot of work.
I got an extra snowmobile for you this winter. heck I may even buy another.

I saw some every night, looked like a coon trapper's paradise. No your game plan for winter trapping is right on the money. Maybe I'll take you up on that snowmobile.

Day 5
Mink Sale Concludes on a Very Strong Note
After five days of energetic and competitive bidding from a final tally of 700 international buyers, NAFA’s Spring Mink Sale ended on a high note. Black NAFA female mink sold 100% at firm prices compared to the most recent North American Auction. Demi/Wild female mink sold at firm prices, compared to April’s established levels.
For the first time, China was the biggest buyer of high quality Black females, followed by Korea.
(hoping to have wild fur info yet tonight)

Ron, care to enlighten us on the lack of support for the heavy large sized ranch silver fox?
Is it just a matter of them being overvalued? If so, will they hold over 5000 silvers for next February?

Well any unsold will be held over unless some are sold Private Treaty. I suspect if they were over priced thee will be a price adjustment and they will sell at new levels.
From what I read on the red fox sales the flatter goods seem to be in demand. It seems that we are seeing a trend back to the flatter goods like back in the 80's. With flatter goods they can use full pelts for garments. With the heavies they become mostly a trim item. Going to find out more about this in any case. This is just my thoughts.
