I did have a good season, but sad to say these coyotes aren't mine, but 109 montana coyotes I put up for my buyer
boy were they a pleasure to look at- some were cuh a cream on backs they were almost white.
first time i've ever put up fur for someone else, and it made a good project for us in our down time season
all males were skinned with penis and sack on them- I would think it harder to leave on, than take off.
also all were skun pads on rea, full front legs- which made me feel bad, cause someone put time into them, but we snipped off all 4
not a lot of burrs, all snared, found 2 cockleburs, a few of the burs northof40 tells me is wild licorace I think? and a couple with a flat seed type burr I never saw before- very easy to remove if in top half of fur, p.i.a. if deeper
no more fat than our home coyotes durng fall
fun experience- I was waitng for someone to say "those aren;t MN coyotes!"

What % do you think will grade as heavy?

I just don't have enough knowledge of coyote grades to handle that.
something else- a few were fleshed down to almost the hair roots (all also ripped from ear to ear) and they werep aperthing, crinkle when rattled- but all the ones we did using our style of leaving the final membrane on, still with some exceptions on bigger fatter males- crinkled when turned and really so when dried

when there is 5 inches of depth in the fur thickness it is in the heavy section those should make it into the western canadian section, if not sold off-shore before hand
you dont make them heavy by not scrapping them,,, those are guarenteed to go as !!'s I haited those "type"cause the fur grader could bean you from 20 feet away when you were bailing and had you back turned and had some counted ones going into the boxes....
