Jim, I'm not sure. My dad's a dealer and I've shipped off and on since they were Dominion/Soudack. Maybe they consider me a dealer.
101 coyotes avg'ed $61. East central KS so maybe run of the mill. 60% semis, 30% easterns and 10% DGD and II's. Some red bellies that got cut out in there too. I'm guessing the good semis avg'ed 75 or 85, but won't know til they update the catalog. Some breakage at Christmas didn't help the average as the nice ones go first.

$26.78 to be exact cash in hand
I thought 9% commission was the lowest? 11% without the "package"?

This year it will cost me about $240 to have the auction house store, grade, lot and sell my fur to the highest bidders. my total will be somewhere between $5300 and $5400 for this sale and to me that is a very low fee for a whole trained group of persons working for me and their organization. That is a win-win.
I sold 10 coons and 18 rats locally to support the buyers at our fur auction after commissions my net loss to support that sale on those 28 pelts will be about $210 or almost exactly what it cost for the auction house to mange and sell my other 247 pelts. Does it always work that way, for me the last 6 years, yes but not always at the high levels that it has been the last two years.

Coyotes pretty much through the roof.
Run of the mill should have done high forties low fifties.

I'm quite pleased with the results. The one thing that did poorly was ermine. Took a pounding there. My top was $8 and change. But a $300 lynx and a marten that almost hit $200 took the sting away! Reds were down a bit, but still excellent. Lots of $70+ ones. One at about $110. Beaver was ordinary. The larger good skins did well but the meds and smalls ($5- $8) killed that average. There's going to be more trappers out next year for sure. I'm going to hit mink harder. I might actually set for them! I compared what I got to averages obtained locally and once 20% is removed I am still W-A-Y ahead.
