GaTrapper, Thanks for the comments. The waterfowl migration was one of the best in years. More geese than I've seen in a while.

Pop was the one with the beagles so No beagles here Steve, but if you look at the 4th trapping picture, you'll see the rabbit that found one of my dirtholes. I did get Pop out for waterfowl & deer a couple times this year. (he says hello)...at 78 years old, I enjoy every trip out with him,,,

Great photos. There certainly seems to be a lot of "lawn" where you hunt and trap. That's different!
The possum beside the fur is pretty different too. Not quite as bushy a tail as your reds - which seem to be numerous. Lots of work in that last photo.
Good looking dog.

I thouht you were a beagler as well - tell your dad hello as well-
I always wished my dad was alive when I started trapping coyotes. He was a water trapper, and a coonhunter and didn't land trap. But I think coyotes would have really turned on his engine

Good season or seasons I should say. Your daily fox catch exceeds my season totals these later years! We used to have extremely high populations in the 1960 and 1970s with millions of acres of soil bank land and a very, very few coy toes.
My yellow lab will be 7 in June. He is 75 lbs. so not as large as yours. Good nose, but I have not been diligent the last years to keep him trained.

Very nice pictures and a fine season too. Yep, you'd better take care of your Pap, and enjoy every moment.
