i see mtp and fnt both carry american made #2 and #3 twist link chain.
anybody know if the #3 will fit over the pan latch on a #3 montana or montgomery trap?

the stock chain is #3, and I've never had it happen on the line

the latch part will fit inside a link of the stock #3 chain. have had it happen a couple times in the last 2 years. it won't fit in #2 twist link but was just wandering if it will in the #3 twist link.

I would go with the #2. More compact and plenty strong for coyotes.

you have had it with coyotes in the trap, so trap was bound up?
interesting, but its not happened to me yet.
