I'd like to know how it happened. That is one unlucky animal.

I once caught a least weasel in a 220. I figure it was hanging from the trigger wires and using them as a swing.

Possum, you sure it was a least.
Dont mean to be condescending but I've caught hundreds upon hundreds of weasles and never a least.
I've seen one least that was harvested in my life, not caught by me.
Most people confuse a female short tail with a least.

I ran over a least weasel while running a gang mower on a golf course in North Central Illinois many years ago. Tiny with no more than 6 inch head and body length and no black tip on a very short tail. That's the only one I've ever seen.

Only leasts ive caught was by hand. Little fellars died of stress as didnt last 24 hours . I also had a least jump up on my boot toe when i was lip squeaking and stood up looking at me.... talk about guts..... didnt try and catch him, figured he or she earned its freedom.

Probably right. Just a regular ol' weasel. I still think it was swinging on the trigger wires.

Did you ever use that coni for a baited set for rats? I have a few that have bits of carrot still stuck on trigger? Either way he probably would not have fared well in Vegas.

The Belisle is a little too stout for rats. N50: I did look on the ground just in case of that scenerio. Three times this year I've had doubles on flying squirrels in the same trap. It make a fellow wonder.
