Is it ok to boil and dye in a galvanized pot?
Need to upgrade to something bigger and cannot find something cheap that I can boil them in.
If so, will the galvanization hold up to lye or blackies wax b gone?

Blackies Wax B Gone is a trap cleaner. I didn't know if putting a flame to or boiling/cleaning traps on a galvenized pot would somehow ruin the galvanization and make it ruin my boiling or dying.

Lye or even wood ashes will eat the galvanize off of your pot.
Not sure what size pot you need? A metal 5-gallon bucket would work. If you need something bigger, I'd get a 55-gallon barrel. You can cut the barrel with a sawzall, make it what ever size you need.

Thanks Redsnow. Been searching for pots but every time I find a good one it costs like $80.
