Coons do not like the full moon they will start to run in a few days.

this year has been pretty good for me on coons the last few days have been a little slower but i think its the moon.

We've had a massive die off down here along the river corridor. Found 19 dead along a 2-mile stretch. Other trappers have been reporting the same.
Now that I'm looking for 'em, I see 'em dead snagged in timber along the shore. Others are laying up on the bank.
My count is way down.

Western Iowa has had a die off of some kind also. Dead coons in the creeks and river. To bad.

the first wek, I let a doz go(before opener) since then very few and far between- farms where usually coon are a "problem" are barren
