First time using this product and I must say this stuff works far better and faster than sani flush! Cleaned up my coyote traps this morning and they come out extremely clean when using this product. Only takes 5-7 min per batch and made the sterlings and Jakes shine. Great product for cleaning up traps, I'm sold on this stuff from now on.
Thought I would have to find some lye, after many years of using sani flush my supply ran out last year, decided to try Wax B gone and see how well it worked, anyone know what the make up of this stuff is?
They came out extremely clean and a quick wash down the road the the power wash to rinse off any residue, and will be dying and waxing tomorrow. Really cut down on the time compaired to sani flush.

It is made by Carroll Black, you can get it from F&T ( I did) or MTP as well. Or from Caroll himself.
Don't think it is a floor wax stripper? Don't know for sure. It cleans the metal up darn well.

you guys that were using Sani-flush, was that because you couldn't get the RED DEVIL LYE? I got a bunch here and may have to use some this year....that or just use some vinegar to clean 'em up a bit.

Cannot find Sani-Flush anymore here too. The last places i could find it the past few years was at Walmart and Canadian tire.
Now, I heard that dairy farms do have some strong cleaning stuff that might work well for cleaning traps.

There is a product you can get at Lowes that is 100 percent sodiumHydoxide or better known as lye. It is called Roebic crystal drain opener, I couldn't find it with the drain cleaners, I had to go to the plumbing section. I used two, 2lb. containers with about 15 gal. of water. It will foam up if you add it to water already boiling. Does a nice job. Don't burn your face off.

Do you have to use Wax B gone along with boiling water?

Beav not a boil but just simmering, it states on the can do not boil! I was very pleased all traps dyed and waxed and ready for this weekend, the season opens tomorrow but too busy at work to get any set so will be out saturday morn.
Ga Trapper let me know what you think, I was very pleased how well and fast this stuff works. I know why they say don't use on aluminum as my cleaning pot never looked so clean LOL. I'm sure thinner alum would be a real issue but on steel and even the pads on my jake traps I found no problems with this product what so ever.
