with any luck, you might get a chance for some under ice trapping tihs weekend- maybe some snow as well

Same here packing up truck with supplies and trailer also..... except Beav will be on east side of ND and i will be on west side of ND.

tyote39 i will be south of Reeder and around Scranton but have three other large propertys that will be trapping as setting goes on.

OK west of hettinger! My youngest was born at the hettinger hospitol. Been very dry up that way you must have found some good watersheds? You should have concintrations in any water you find. Some big coons up that way and mink as well.
If you get a chance eat at the steakhouse in Hettinger great food! Pack plenty of warm clothes and keep an eye on the weather have fun and good luck! I used to work ground right up on the SD/ND border.

Tc39 thanks for info, i was just wondering where i could go for a meal or two instead of cooking myself. Im about 15 miles north of Reeder., Scranton so Hettinger steakhouse will be visited. When i was out there in July it was DRY.... bvr, rats were concentrated around spring holes ect, lots of coon sign . Thanks for heads up, have warm clothes rolled and packed in seabag ( old Marine custom...lol)

Talked to the beav today a bit.
He's a little peeved at me as my freeze dance has been pretty successful.
Its iced over pretty good up here in the north country right now.

It wont.
Got a little dusting of snow on the ground this morning but its supposed to get back in the mid 40s in a couple days.
Next time it sets up it'll be all over.
