This is trapperbill's wife and I probably have this in the wrong spot. I hope the moderators and all of you will forgive me, as I do not do much forum posting at all. I guess I just need to get this off my chest so to speak.
Trapperbill had a heart attack shortly after the VP debate on Thursday night. It did not have the typical presentation and I thought he might just be having indegestion. After Tums did not help him, he took 2 full-strength Bayer aspirins and I drove him to the Robert G. Dole (Wichita) Kansas VA ER, where they treated him immediately and gave us the news that he had a heart attack. Bill is 54 and 6 feet 1 inches and only 163 pounds, very active, and not the typical candidate for a heart attack.
The cardiologist said taking the aspirin saved him from a devastating possibly fatal heart attack as the aspirin dissolved much of the plaque clot that was ready to break off and travel deep into his heart.
He is doing pretty well and I think I get to bring him home tomorrow. God is not through with him yet, and he has lots more coyotes to predator call, and lots more bobcats. raccoons, and coyotes to trap.
I am so thankful that we missed the "widow maker" type of heart attack that was looming.
I am asking for any of you that pray to keep Bill in your prayers. His heart disease is strictly hereditary, and he knows now that he has to keep his follow ups with his cardiologist. He lucked out in that he did not need any stents.
Thank you for letting me express this and ask for your support. I appreciate this community forum.

Joyce,
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill and you . You tell my old buddy that he dodged the bullet like I did but is a strong old coot and to hang in there.
You folks were very thoughtful when I went thru my bypass surgery and recovery and during my wifes cancer treatments and her lengthy struggle with that disease.
Bill has had a warning sign so he needs to get on some type of blood thinner or a regime of aspirin. I am sure his Dr. has already prescribed something for him.
My best to the both of you. Bob J.

This is Bill himself.I came home from the hospital yesterday. After they did the Angioplasty the Cardiologist told all of us in the room I was the luckiest man in the room! I know the Lord helped me and was with me from the time I had the chest pain.It was very scary for me and I know the wife.I expect to be trapping and skinning animals this year.Thank you for all your prayers . I will close by saying if your having chest pain TAKE 2 ASPIRIN and go to the ER!! My Dad didn't want to and said I'll wait tell tomorrow as I want to see my own Doctor and not some Intern. He died that night.
