Bryce- was there any trouble with corn pollination this year by you?
for some here, pollination time was in that 100 plus time, and some fields don't have full cobs
had a couple of times where the put liquid manure on fields that I had traps in, and decided- I'll get those later- and in a day or two, that later had a coyote in it- so they DO work those fields- why, don't know, guess they just don't care LOL

Right in my area even with the heat and drought we planted a bit later and about 70% of our corn pollinated from July 20th to August 1st when it was a tad cooler and we got some rain. We are about 85% good on pollination here and will probably be at about 80-90% of our typical yields which are about 150-155 bushels per acre. Only 25 miles south it is a much different ball game with shorter plants and many with no ears.

What does Sandy have to say? Got the report for a few years thought it was a bit pricey for what I learned.

China is trying to hold growth at 6-7% instead of 7-9% to control inflation and mostly in housing costs as they don't want their citizens to have what happened to us in 2008-09. How much a 20% reduction in growth impacts the fur market I don't know and we won't until the fall ranch fur sales in Europe are completed. Europe other than Russia is not a big player in buying fur but Greece and Turkey to process quite a bit. NAFA has spent over 1 million promoting coons to the Chinese just like they did with rats the last decade. Lets hope that we get a wider based market out of this effort. That will lift all boats and that is not a bad thing for all of us.

And there are lots of dealers sitting on huge green fur Inventories.
No rats lots of rats It makes no difference In the price. It's all about the price of RANCH MINK.

That is true. But even with a good ranck mink market look at Mays sales. People seem to think Febuary was the last wild fur sales held and forget the weaker prices in May. Why do you think NAFA still has there better rats unsold. The unrealistic outlook I 've seen from people at conventions will get cured real quick this fall. I think on many items you will see a 20 percent decline in price. Probably good demand for fur but a lower price base. That's my guess.

I tell you Steve time for you to trap coon. You could set a personal record. Not sure if you can catch coon better than you can spell but I do know your sled won't do you much good. ;)You have become the rat king you have no where to go but down. lol You set up a cat and fisher line this winter and I'll do the grunt work. I know better you will be on a rat slough somewhere in Minnesota.

Kopenhagen sale is going unbelievably good with prices firm to advancing over their june sale. China is the main buyer again with support from Greece.
I would still go after rats. Used as coat liners, not much other fur that can replace it.
Pray for a cold winter. Cold weather is still the biggest factor in fur sales.
