Not really Rally. I have zero interest in trapping wolves when it becomes legal and less interest in coyotes. Rats are ten bucks and beaver are 40.

What a 700 dollar coyote looks like. Bundle on the right. Anybody taking credit for having that coyote. Wonder when it was killed, the skin that shows by the hind leg looks a lot blacker than the coyote farther in with the back out that shows some of the hind leg skin. Jim

Jim: It might be early but I can't figure out which skin you are referring to. I'm not even sure if you're talking about the $700 yote photo or the wolf one ...

So, these all canadian dogs?? Nope, don't believe so. Heard they were W. Kansas/Sandhills Nebraska coyotes. Back in 1979 I sold two lots of 20 coyotes each for $435.00 a skin. Virtually all came from W. Kansas. The heavy furred, super pale coyotes of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Alberta have way too much fur-too long to be used in full length coats-makes the wearer look too large. That is why thye want the paler, shorter length furred coyotes from the W. KS/Sandhills of NE.

ive had a few gorgeous coyotes this year...pale stomachs, clear silver laced backs. I feel stupid for selling them local, the local guy was handing me 50 dollar bills for a few. Lowest coyote was 15... I have a feeling they would have sold for much better. Maybe even some 100 dollar ones. Who knows! Atleast i held onto my cats. Any word on red fox from my region?

May have been so in the boom days but it aint the 70's anymore. those coyotes are montana alberta type heavies. I had cocktails two night in a row with the gentleman that bought those yotes. they are not going to full length coats, they are gonna be trim. The trim trade is driving the yote market and if you would have walked around that sale with a sign on your back saying I buy montana/wyoming/nd coyotes you would have maybe been mugged. They just arent finding enough and the harvest is way off on the good heavies. Just not enough snow anywhere. The coyote on the far right that foxman speaks of was probably 15 20 bucks.
