When you come up on a set that has been worked, and is uncovered? revealing the pan cover (wax paper). I caught a coyote 20 yards down the same trail not even 2 days ago. I just re did the set and went on my way. Would love to hear some opinions.

I check to see if trap is loose, if not, I just recover.
don't like wax paper though-I cannot help but feel that the dirt on a slippery surface, can move sometimes at the slighest "touch". If I'm not using a screen I don't want anything over my pan- polyfil under is the way to go-
why aren't you using screens?

I have never used screens. I have been changing my ways trapping wise alot this year. Plan on using screens with some new traps im purchasing. That makes sense, wax paper is smooth. I do the same steve, rebed the trap, resift and move on. I was just curious as to what others do.
