Just wondering what your thoughts are on using skunk essense up high in a tree next to a bait station for bears? Anyone ever try it? I know everything else seems to be attracted to it but I have absolutly no experience with it on black bears.

You don't want everything else at a bait station for bears. You want ravens and you want bears. The ravens attract the bears.
Exposed meat will get you the ravens. If you have some greasy bait (used french fry oil) the bears will get it on their feet and spread the joy in their wandering.
As for lure, Procoon is an excellent bear attractant.

ditto o nthe procoon- I sell a lot of procoon to guys that use it on bait piles- they swear by it.
