Rdfox
It was a complete disaster. Couldn't find any open water In the marsh. And wasn't going to bust through 6' tall cat tails to look for It. 80 some sets on the river accounted for 7 rats one coon and 3 beaver. The good rat area was just outside my section. When I set I knew I was coming back the next day to pull. Oh well it was another experience. Next year I'm headed for SD to trap rats. Going to pick up 200 green skun rats tomorrow and put them up for NAFA might do more later on. Just talked to my buddy they are out In SD and have 3000 rats so far bringing them home tomorrow dumping rats and heading back out Tuesday.

Just got a up date. They were around the Webster area. Guys from Ohio, Iowa , MN hardly a place to pull over on the road. Rats are still In good shape there going to go back and trap till they run Into to much damage.

does the Horicon flood, or stay realitively stable. I've driven through it a few times in summer, a beautiful area

It's manged for water fowl so water levels are controlled. I talked to one of the guys that trapped the marsh this year. He was dropping of 2,500 rats at NAFA. He said It was a tough year they had lots of snow and there was a big freeze out on the marsh. 27" of ice wore out a lot of auger blades hitting bottom.
