Just got home from Cumberland's with some new Quick Set traps! They are very easy to set and look easy to use. Are there any modifications I need to do to them ? Any tricks ?

bend the stake holder DOWN some, so that arms (where you hold them to set) are off the bottom of the tunnel 1/4 of an inch or so.
Also, make sure there is room in the tunnel sideways, for the arms to fully extend. A tight tunnel, or too much dirt, keeps jaws from closing completely-
you will love them!
STAKE WELL- or coyotes and badgers will steal gophers and the traps. We use metal electric fence posts, upside down- the ones with the triangle- cheaper than fiberglass if you can beleive that- and the triangle holds trap on when coyotes/badger bend them to the ground pulling on the gopher.
if plugged -do not pull to hard. trigger system is weak point if you pull them too many times from hard plugged holes the rivit breaks, can be jerry rigged with wire, but you will need to occasionally replace rivets- out of 6 doz last season, 11 need new rivets- tommorrows project LOl
had to go to Roch today, so back roaded home- gophers starting to dig- I'd start setting tomorrow, but suppose to be rainy period- I'd imagine middle of nexr week. Repainted all my stakes- a twice yearly thing- sun/rain dull paint quick
