looks like a good sale- it said prices are for Section 1 only- does that mean all other grades not included?

It means the third section goods are not in the average. Jim

Not sure Steve will check and report tomorrow, I doubt there was much if any interest in third section coon or coyotes. Right now we have a strong trim trade market looking for the heavy goods. Jim

Coyote excellent clearance in anything heavy and the heavy semi types, almost 100% clearance no interest in anything flat, damage, and off colors. mainly unsold
Raccoon prices were up for heavies in AB colors with more interest this sale on the C color, most sold. D colors remain weak in demand and cheap prices. Mostly unsold.
Main use is the trim trade but size ande color important, very little interest in the coat grade coons In the heavy sections of raccoon the interest has pushed down to the II but they must have color, otherwise limited interest and very cheap. Overall my opinion the market is creeping upward. It never rises as fast as it drops. Like I had mentioned in the muskrat thread the rat prices were up because of the strong ranch mink prices this should continue as the prices for the ranch mink in Seattle were up again. Jim

Good to see the high clearance levels over a broaders spectrum of species and grades. MN/WI coon were almost exactly my NAFA February Average, rats were better by about 15% Mink are clearing out well at decent averages also. What happened to the grey fox?

Like any sale some items are stronger then other, grey fox had a run a couple of years ago and I think Russia is the biggest taker of grey fox, could be fashion demand, or the limit depth to this market. Used mainly as trim unless it has a run in fashion for garments. Jim

Gibb;"Coyote excellent clearance in anything heavy and the heavy semi types, almost 100% clearance no interest in anything flat, damage, and off colors. mainly unsold"
Can you explain this better?? Your saying 100% clearance in heavy and semi heavy types but "NO" interest in "off colors", how is this possible??
"Off collored" coyotes come in every weight and section of coyotes so..... Were the off collored skins included in the averages posted for the heavy and semi heavy types?

Rally Beaver big sizes the blankets and XL sold good prices up slightly Small sizes a struggle, overall the average is about the same as last sale.
Robert coyote off colored bellies. Anything heavy and the better semi sold strong no matter the color, once they bought those up anything else the color of the belly was a factor in the price. Trim trade and the weaker skins with off colored bellies no interest. At this sale at this time that was the interest, after our sale America Legend sold at increase prices again over Toronto. Like our increased prices from our muskrat sale this should influence the market just takes time. In Toronto the prices for ranch mink were up but it was too soon to have an impact on the muskrat sale. Both Kopenhagen and Toronto had increased prices for ranch mink. I think that the coyote market should improve again and once the good heavies and semi's are gone more chance the lower grades will improve. Jim

Lucky you I caught 150 and now I have to put them up. I just thought you would know at what prices the beaver sold at. I guess I could go to the website and look.
