Mason married? What the @#$%? Wow, next thing you know, old Ike will be admitting his dogs are mortal or something. Ya, lets keep that pistol shot quiet until the statute of limitations expires. Man, I sure miss old Copper. You never appreciate a great dog until he's gone. No worries, shooting coyotes is legal in NV.

Here is my wife and the 2 pups we are keeping, Cheyenne and Cowboy. I am very greatful to have a wife that loves the hounds, almost as much as I do. It makes all the work and hassle, that much more fun. Take care. Mason

Thanks for those pics, I'm sure excited about this pup. Good talking to you the other day. I look forward to seeing you when we come down in Dec. These pups turned 6 weeks old yesterday. Here are some mugshots. Theses 3 males are going to the owner of the sire, Kim Payne. This nice little female is going to my buddy Zane. I got the momma, Jenna from Zane. The 2 I'm keeping, white faced female, Cheyenne. Dark male, Cowboy. Take care. Mason

Handsome little rascals.
The two toned ears is different. Is it common?

Mason,Thanks so much for sharing your very cool good pictures of your hounds and hunting. The hounds mostly look like Walker dogs and an English dog.And some of the walker looking dogs look to have English mixed in them ? Very nice looking hounds and pups ? You have a very nice looking wife also.Your a lucky guy especially if she likes to hunt also and since she enjoys the pups and hounds.
I love the picture of that crazy azz hound up in the tree right under the cat.I had a female Walker hound when I was 16.She was a coon dog and a Bear dog.She loved to try to climb up the trees and tear up everything around the tree.A couple of the older guys I hunted with would say they did not like a dog that would chew on the tree etc.I absolutely loved every minute of watching her tree. She was an absolute maniac on the tree.I really think they were jealous that me a 16 yr. old kid had a hound that always got treed quick on coon and would have the meat a very very large % of the time.Plus I only paid about 1/4 for her compared what they paid for their 2 male Walkers.
That Copper dog looks to be a Cur dog in the last 4 pictures. He espcially looks like a Cur dog in the third picture down or fourth picture up.Was he a Cur dog or what breed was he ? Also curious what breed or mix your other hounds are ? Thanks again for sharing such good cool pictures.

colors like that are common among certain bloodlines- the famous Patch beagles were marked much like that mostly white, with a few color "spots" here and there.
Damn nice looking pups thats for sure!

Thanks guys. Sorry, I haven't been on for a while and just saw these replies.
Those hounds are all just grade dogs mixed up with about everything but Redbone and Plott.
I too love a dog with drive and Sadie(the dog in the tree) has it in droves! She loves to climb trees to fight kitties. In fact they all do really if they can, she's just gotten better at it.
Copper was a hound. I agree he did look like a cur but that's just the way he looked. All of these dogs are Wade Lemon/ Kim Payne bred dogs and they have some running hound in them way back.
Thanks again for the comments and happy hunting.
Take care.

I had some pretty decent black and tans, lucky I guess had a some good breeding next to me. Anyway, I miss them everyday, still have dreams at night, no kidding, of hunting my dogs especially Tot! So, I guess what I am saying you all are lucky you have land to hunt, and family that supports it. Someday maybe I can get time to do a mountain lion hunt. beautiful dogs

Do you staple or stitch the dogs or do you crazy glue them?Giving them a little banamine and Dex. cocktail they will want to go hunting in a hour later.Dogs are tougher than most people think.
