How big is the bit in diameter? Looking for like 3in or so. Bought one of those Vic's augers last year and they dont seem to work. but it could be one of those have to be smarter then the tool you are using moments. Brandon , I actually dislike that thing strongly , so you can have it since it tickles your fancy.

I'll be bringing out some of rk660s dirt hole augers- the ones for cordless drills.

I like my trowel to have about 3'' blade. I have a lot of rock and hate trying to break thruogh rock. I have mine madee of steel, even the handle. 18'' handle. can't beat home made tools.
Hey 17-kiss, you are in Central PA? I hear you have some good trappers down there. I know Jerry Johnson told me that there are some heavy hitters in those parts. You have much competition down there?

Trapnman, right now I have to walk to set traps and I think a drill would be some extra weight, but if I get a 4 wheeler i'll probably get one. Might pick on up for frozen ground too.

Nittany Lion did the same thing I am going to do, he picks them up when he sees them. I will start buying what I can find at the local flea markets, they seem to be a common item at them.

Mooseman , competition is not the word. gets to be a game of hop scotch lining permissions every year. Always some old standbys , but branching out for new ones and keeping ones less than a couple of years trapped is quite a challenge. The average decent trapper around here is in the 25 -50 range. Alot of 50 -100 guys too. Plus I just moved back into my hometown area and trying to carve my niche back out.

Like our new pond Edge? The previous owners left it for us but DJ just put it in this spring. We just mulched it today. Now we just have to get a bunch of flat rocks to cover the edges of the pond so it's not so obvious that it's a big plastic tub and we have to get fish, and frogs, and snails and more plants and we are good to go!
